The Clayton V. Reuse Birmingham
ASHRAE Scholarship Fund

Family and friends of Clayton Reuse are endowing an ASHRAE scholarship to be presented annually to honor his memory. The scholarship will be awarded annually to a mechanical engineering student at an Alabama university.


Clayton founded Alabama Controls in 1973 and was a long-time supporter of ASHRAE. He served as the 1984-85 chapter president.


Clayton passed away September 23, 2006, in an airplane accident. He was 62 years old.

My name is Bradley Jerrell Timmons. I was born on 01 March 1987 in Columbus, GA. I have lived most of my life in Jasper, AL. I graduated from Walker High School in 2005. I started at Bevill State Community College in the fall of the same year. Also, I enlisted in the Alabama Army National Guard in October of 2005. Due to my military obligations and changing majors, I finally graduated from Bevill in the spring of 2012 with an AA Secondary Education and AS Engineering. I married my wife in March of 2011, and our first son was born on 04 March 2013. I am pursuing a BS in Mechanical Engineering and plan on graduating in the spring of 2015.
